Diagnostic Endoscopy
High-Precision ENT Visualizations at Elite Health Care
Many ear, nose, and throat conditions cannot be fully evaluated with a simple external exam. At Elite Health Care, we utilize advanced diagnostic endoscopy technologies to perform high-resolution visual assessments. These minimally invasive procedures allow our specialists to view internal structures in real-time, ensuring a fast, precise diagnosis and highly targeted treatment plans.
Our Endoscopic Services
Video Otoscopy (High-Resolution Ear Imaging)
Video Otoscopy is a modern diagnostic procedure that uses a specialized digital ear endoscope with an integrated camera and light source. The system projects a magnified, high-definition image of your ear canal and eardrum (tympanic membrane) onto a screen. This allows us to accurately identify conditions like wax buildup, fluid accumulation, eardrum perforations, or infections, while allowing patients to see exactly what the doctor sees.
Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy (DNE / Nasal Endoscopy)
A Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy (DNE) is a procedure used to examine the nasal passages, sinus openings, and post-nasal space. Utilizing a thin, rigid, or flexible endoscope, our specialist can identify:
- Deviated nasal septums (DNS)
- Nasal polyps and mucosal swelling
- Chronic sinus blockages or inflammation
- Source of recurrent nosebleeds (epistaxis)
This quick, in-clinic procedure is essential for evaluating chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, and allergies.
Fiberoptic Laryngoscopy (FOL / Throat Endoscopy)
A Fiberoptic Laryngoscopy (FOL), commonly referred to as throat endoscopy, is used to examine the deeper structures of the throat, including the pharynx, larynx (voice box), and vocal cords. Using a slender, flexible fiberoptic scope passed gently through the nose, we can diagnose:
- Vocal cord nodules, polyps, or cysts
- Root causes of chronic hoarseness or voice changes
- Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
- Early-stage throat or laryngeal cancer
Patient Comfort & Convenience
All diagnostic endoscopies are performed in our clinic on an outpatient basis. The procedures are generally painless, take only a few minutes, and do not require sedation (though a mild local anesthetic spray may be used for nasal or throat examinations to maximize comfort).
