Ear Surgeries

Advanced Otology & Reconstructive Microsurgery at Elite Health Care

Healthy hearing and balance are vital to a full, active life. Ear disorders—ranging from chronic infections and eardrum perforations to structural abnormalities of the middle ear—can cause hearing loss, discharge, pain, and vertigo.

At Elite Health Care, we specialize in advanced medical and surgical treatments for the ears. Our state-of-the-art surgical suite is equipped with German microscopic technologies and micro-drills to perform highly precise reconstructive ear surgeries with high success rates.

Our Surgical Procedures

Micro Ear Surgery

Perforations in the tympanic membrane (eardrum) or infections within the mastoid bone can lead to persistent ear discharge, pain, and progressive deafness. If left untreated, chronic mastoid bone disease carries a serious risk of spreading infections to the facial nerve or brain.

To resolve these issues and restore hearing, we perform microscopic ear surgeries, including:

  • Tympanoplasty: Surgical reconstruction of the eardrum.
  • Mastoidectomy: Removal of diseased mastoid air cells to secure the ear.

[!TIP] We perform these delicate operations using the advanced German Microscope OPMI 111 and specialized disposable micro-drills, ensuring maximum precision, minimized risk, and a high success rate.

Cochlear Implant Surgery

A cochlear implant is an advanced electronic medical device designed for individuals with severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss who receive limited benefit from traditional hearing aids. Unlike hearing aids that amplify sound, a cochlear implant bypasses damaged portions of the ear to directly stimulate the auditory nerve:

  • External Processor: Worn behind the ear, it captures sound waves, converts them into digital signals, and transmits them to the internal component.
  • Internal Receiver & Electrode Array: Surgically placed beneath the skin and inside the cochlea, it receives signals and delivers electrical impulses directly to the hearing nerve.

At Elite Health Care, we provide comprehensive care throughout your cochlear implant journey, from pre-surgical evaluation and surgical placement to post-operative activation, mapping, and auditory rehabilitation.

Stapedotomy (Middle Ear Surgery for Otosclerosis)

Otosclerosis is a condition characterized by abnormal bone remodeling in the middle ear, which causes the stapes bone (the stirrup) to become fixed in place. Because the stapes cannot vibrate, sound cannot travel to the inner ear, resulting in conductive hearing loss.

Stapedotomy is a highly delicate microsurgical procedure performed to restore hearing. During the procedure:

  1. The fixed stapes bone is carefully bypassed or partially removed.
  2. It is replaced with a micro-prosthesis, such as a Teflon or Titanium piston.
  3. The piston restores natural sound vibration pathways to the inner ear.

We provide expert microsurgical interventions and dedicated post-operative care to ensure optimal hearing restoration.

Myringotomy & Grommet Insertion (Treatment for Glue Ear)

“Glue ear” is a common condition, particularly in children, where the middle ear becomes filled with thick, sticky fluid instead of air, causing muffled hearing and recurrent ear infections.

A Myringotomy is a quick, minor procedure where a microscopic incision is made in the eardrum to relieve pressure, drain accumulated fluid or pus, and immediately restore hearing. To prevent fluid from building up again, a tiny ventilation tube, known as a grommet, is inserted into the incision. The grommet allows air to circulate within the middle ear and typically falls out naturally as the ear heals.
